Curriculum that fits the learner, not the other way around.

Wusool is an early-stage healthtech startup joining education and rehabilitation for People of Determination. We build AI-assisted, personalized curricula that carry each learner's therapy goals into every lesson, from early intervention through vocational training. The AI drafts; teachers, therapists and families decide.

The problem

Every learner is different. Most curricula aren't.

Specialists already write individual education plans, but adapting every lesson by hand takes time few centers have. Meanwhile, most learning software assumes a mouse, a keyboard, steady attention and typical vision and hearing.

Plans don't reach the lesson

An individual plan sets goals. Turning it into daily, differentiated material is where time runs out.

Tools aren't built for every body

Switch users, AAC users and low-vision learners are often an afterthought in edtech interfaces.

Therapy and school are split

Speech, occupational and physical therapy goals live in clinical notes, rarely in the lesson a learner does that afternoon.

Arabic-first content is scarce

Accessible, bilingual material aligned to UAE curricula is hard to find at any level.

Concept demo

One learning goal, four learners.

Choose a learner to see how the same objective could be reshaped around their profile. These are fictional examples to show the idea; the product is still in design.

The AI proposes

A person approves

Fictional learners. Clinical and educational decisions always stay with qualified professionals and families.

Approach

Human–computer interaction, designed from the learner outward.

We treat the interface as part of the curriculum. How a learner sees, hears, touches and responds shapes what they can show they know.

1 · Profile

A living learner profile

Strengths, goals from the individual plan, preferred senses, access method and sensory limits, built with the family and care team and updated as the learner grows.

2 · Curriculum engine

Lessons generated to fit

AI adapts content, format, pacing and difficulty to the profile, within curriculum standards set by educators.

3 · Human in the loop

Specialists stay in charge

Every plan is reviewed by a teacher or therapist. Their edits teach the system what good looks like for that learner.

Language AI, Arabic first

Built on natural language processing research

Language is where many learners are shut out first. Our founder's PhD research in NLP at MBZUAI shapes the core of the product: models that understand and rewrite learning content in Arabic and English for each learner.

  • Plain-language and easy-read rewritingCurriculum text simplified to each learner's reading level while the learning goal stays intact.
  • AAC that speaks ArabicTurning symbol selections into natural sentences, with word prediction that understands Emirati and Gulf Arabic.
  • Speech that understands every voiceResearch toward speech recognition that works for atypical speech, such as dysarthria, so voice input is open to more learners.
  • Bilingual by defaultEvery lesson and every report for families available in Arabic and English.
Why this is healthtech

One plan for learning and rehabilitation.

For People of Determination, progress in the classroom and progress in therapy are the same story. Wusool links them, so every lesson also practises a therapy goal, and every therapist can see how that goal is going between sessions.

Therapy goals in lessons

Speech, OT and physio built in

Goals set by speech-language, occupational and physical therapists are woven into daily learning tasks, so practice happens many times a week instead of once.

Functional progress

Tracked in clinical language

Observations are structured around the WHO International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF-CY), the framework rehabilitation teams already use.

Assistive technology

Access settings as clinical data

Switch timing, dwell time, gaze accuracy and fatigue patterns are logged, giving occupational therapists evidence when they adjust a learner's access method.

Wellbeing signals

Sessions that notice overload

Signs of fatigue or sensory overload, like slowing responses or repeated errors, shorten or calm the session and are flagged to the care team.

Center to home

Continuity of care

Families get short home-practice activities for the same goals, and therapists see what was practised before the next appointment.

Health-grade data

Built for health regulation

Learner data is treated as health data: stored in the UAE and designed toward Abu Dhabi Department of Health security standards (ADHICS).

Built with clinicians

We want to work closely with doctors and therapists.

A healthtech product for People of Determination should be shaped by the people who treat them. We are forming a clinical advisory group and inviting clinicians to help define goals, review what the AI produces, and design the pilot with us.

Join as a clinical advisor
  • Developmental pediatricians
  • Rehabilitation physicians
  • Speech-language therapists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Psychologists & behavior specialists

Not a diagnostic tool. Wusool supports professionals; it does not diagnose, prescribe or replace therapy. If any future feature becomes clinical decision support, we will seek the required regulatory review first.

Levels of education

Built to follow a learner for years.

Early years

Early intervention

Play-based goals, communication and routines, guided by therapists and parents.

Ages 6–12

Primary

Literacy, numeracy and life skills adapted lesson by lesson.

Ages 12–18

Secondary

Subject content with accessible formats, assessment options and transition planning.

18+

Higher & vocational

Workplace skills, university support and independent-living modules.

Where we are

We're at the beginning, and we'd rather say so.

Wusool is a founder-led idea moving from research to a first prototype. No product is in classrooms yet, and we won't make outcome claims until a supervised pilot produces real evidence.

Done
  • Defined the problem and learner groups
  • Mapped interaction methods to disability profiles
  • Concept and early website
In progress
  • Interviews with special educators, therapists and families
  • Clickable prototype of the profile and lesson flow
  • Forming clinical and community advisory groups, with doctors, therapists and People of Determination
Next
  • Approach ZHO with a pilot proposal
  • Bring on our first collaborators
  • Data-protection and ethics framework
Planned partnership

Co-designing with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.

ZHO runs rehabilitation, education and care services for People of Determination across Abu Dhabi. Its specialists understand these learners better than any model can. Our aim is to build Wusool with them, not just for their centers.

Status: this is a goal, not an existing agreement. Wusool is not affiliated with or endorsed by ZHO. We are preparing a proposal to request a first conversation.

What we plan to propose

  1. Co-design workshops

Special educators, therapists, families and learners shape the profile and the interface.

  2. A small supervised pilot

One center, a limited group of learners, every AI-generated plan reviewed by ZHO staff.

  3. Shared evaluation

Agreed measures for learning progress, engagement and staff time saved, reviewed together.

  4. Ethics and data governance

Consent, data residency in the UAE and clear rules on who sees what.

Collaborate

We're looking for collaborators.

Wusool is at its earliest stage, and the right people now will shape what it becomes. If any of these describes you, we'd like to hear from you.

Doctors & therapists

Help set therapy goals, review AI-generated plans and design a safe pilot.

Special educators

Bring classroom reality to the curriculum engine and test early prototypes.

People of Determination & families

Tell us what helps and what gets in the way, and co-design the interface.

Researchers

Work with us on Arabic NLP, speech, accessibility and human–computer interaction.

Care centers & schools

Explore hosting a small, supervised pilot with your learners and staff.

Designers & engineers

Help build accessible, bilingual software that works for every body.

Principles

What we won't compromise on.

Nothing about us without us

People of Determination help design and test every part of the product.

People decide

AI suggests. Educators, therapists and families approve, edit or reject.

Privacy by design

Minimal data, explicit consent and storage in the UAE, built around the UAE's personal data protection law.

Evidence before claims

We will report what pilots show, including what didn't work.
